This page provides additional details on privacy practices in connection with the submission and processing of personal information submitted by applicants (“candidates”) including through the ‘Careers’ section of A.E. Charalambous & Co Ltd (“AEC”) website.
Personal Information Collection, Use and Sharing
AEC will process candidate personal information for recruitment purposes. Once a candidate is hired by AEC, the employee’s personal information for the duration of employment is covered by AEC Employee Privacy Notice.
Your Personal Data will be collected and/or processed, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable Data Protection Law (“Data Protection Law”).
AEC will be your data controller and you agree that AEC may process your personal data, including sensitive personal data. The personal data you have provided in this application form together with any attachment is part of AEC standard recruitment process and will only be held and processed for the purpose of assessing and administering your application for employment, the selection process and in connection with any subsequent employment or placement.
We will not retain your personal information for longer than is necessary for processing your application, or for legal or regulatory requirements. The recipients of your personal data will be the authorised officers, employees and agents of AEC who are responsible for the processing and assessment of your application.
In accordance with the Data Protection Law, you have right to correct, update, request access to or deletion of your personal information. In addition, if you wish to update or otherwise make changes to your resume, simply resubmit a new one. If you wish to exercise any other of the above rights or if you wish to have your resume completely removed from our database, you may submit a written request together with the supporting documents to us to the following address: 259, Strovolou Avenue, Nicosia, Floor 1. Following the receipt of your written request, we will notify you of our decision within one (1) month. If necessary, such one (1) month period may be extended for another two (2) months in which case we will notify you in writing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the office of the Cyprus Commissioner for the Protection of Personal Data at any time.
